The Bristle Blaster® is a power tool that uses a rotating belt of hardened wire bristles to mechanically impact the metal surface at high frequency. This process simultaneously removes corrosion, mill scale, and old coatings, creating a controlled anchor profile of 65–85 µm Rz with a cleanliness comparable to sandblasting ISO 8501-1 Sa2 ½ — in a single pass.
Sa2 ½, as defined by ISO 8501-1, means "very thorough blast cleaning" – at least 95% of the surface is free of all visible oil, grease, dirt, mill scale, rust, and coatings. This is the standard required for most protective coating systems in heavy industry, offshore, and infrastructure.

No. Unlike grit blasting, which requires certified blasting teams that are increasingly difficult to find on the market, MontiPower tools can be operated by your own maintenance personnel after basic training. There is no abrasive, protective enclosure, or exposure to silica dust, which supports compliance with EU and national health and safety regulations and crystalline silica (RCS) exposure limits in accordance with EU directives.
