Explosive atmospheres

ATEX — assessed for Zone 1 (gas) and Zone 21 (dust)

This tool family has undergone an independent ignition-hazard analysis and an ATEX 2014/34/EU conformity assessment as Category 2 equipment: Zone 1 for explosive gas atmospheres (group IIA, EPL Gb) and Zone 21 for explosive dust atmospheres (IIIC, EPL Db), assessed to EN ISO 80079-36, EN ISO 80079-37 and IEC 60079-0. The tools are fully pneumatic with no electrical components, so surface preparation can be carried out in oil and gas facilities, refineries and petrochemical plants where electric tools are prohibited. Before entering a hazardous area, check the ATEX marking on the tool's nameplate.
